The upcoming 2018 New Opel Corsa belongs to the super-mini sector. And this sector is one of the most competitive in car industry. That’s why the manufacture of this car is already developing the new Corsa although the lasts model was launched back in 2014. This car will likely beat the all-new Ford Fiesta, the new SEAT Ibiza, and the next VW Polo, so the expectation of this car is high. The new 2018 Corsa is the fifth generation version of super-mini which appears to have undergone a full change that aimed at making it more practical and also larger. The overall change of wheelbase in the new Corsa is very clear that we can see it is significantly longer than the previous model. Although the bonnet and front are shorter and overhang, but they help the Corsa to maintain its compact dimensions.

Unfortunately, there is no images or official statement regarding to the interior of this car. But the insiders expect the interior for the new Corsa will feature the dashboard design that inspired by the latest model of Astra. The entertainment system is heavily revised. It should be offered in mid-range model along with sat nav functions and Corsa’s OnStar personal assistant for the infotainment system. As for the top-specs versions, it will come with a plusher selection of materials and heated seat. Isn’t it amazing?


We are probably going to see the same engine lineup from before. The previous model had a range of engines that are appropriate for the vehicle of its size. One of these engines is the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that can output 200 horsepower. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission to the front wheels. Aside from the front-wheel drive, don’t expect anything else. The 1.2 three-cylinder engine and the 1.4 four-cylinder engine are also quite possible, but only with a couple of tweaks here and there.

The new Opel Corsa has decent safety ratings, with an average rating being above 70%. Some of the features included are ESC, Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Assistance, Seat belt Reminder and a plenty of airbags. Opel Corsa has always been a safe vehicle, for both adults and the children. Considering the fact that this vehicle is often used as a family car, these good safety ratings are not a surprise.


There have been no official confirmations yet. We expect to see the new Corsa become available for purchase in the second half of 2017. The price of the base model shouldn’t exceed $10.000. while the best VXR trim could cost up to $20.000.
